There has been some technical difficulties in posting for this blog since couple of months. Looks like it is resolved now. There has been continuous activities since my trip to Turkey and am really glad about it. A group was created in Facebook two years before and now it is reaching 200 members. The group is called Aquatic Therapy Network of India. It constitutes all people working in water with aquatic body work. The group is having the members segregated into privileged, guest and honorary members. Wishing the group to grow wonderfully and the concept to have a strong foot hold and the patients in India take maximum benefit. I will be updating the activities that went on for this year.

This year has been very good in terms of water for me. It has given me good beginning with another step towards WATSU practitioner status. A project initiated to have a warm water pool in a hospital setting. And most of all an opportunity to participate in the 1st European Conference on Evidence Based Aquatic Therapy at Izmir, Turkey. It was a wonderful experience interacting with international delegates, who were doing water works in different levels. I have uploaded some pics of the event.
Istanbul was a beautiful and peaceful city that I could visit en-route to Izmir. The Sea, Culture and historical monuments takes you back in time.
The Preconference workshops updated us with some recent information and practicals in the water was fun and good learning experience. I felt the preconference workshop needs to be given more time to work on specific issues. Johan Lambeck, the Scientific Chair along with his team members led through the workshops
I presented my research paper that was done on a case of GB syndrome who recovered after aquatic therapy in water for 20 sessions. It was a case report.
Met some aquatic practitioners and clinicians who are doing enough work to develop a good evidence to prove the effects of Aquatic Therapy , Ben Waller, Javier & Marcel.
Also heard Bruce Becker talk about how he got into this field of Aquatic Therapy. A person with high intellect, knowledge and pleasing personality.
It was a great time at Izmir, with many acquaintances and insight into the work that needs to be done yet.

Slowing of aquatic body works & workshops
Due to rains, & change in weather, all treatment options for patients are reduced for now. I am waiting for a good indoor heated pool to come up so that therapy can go on through out the year. But Watsu India is hosting few programs in this season at pondycherry. Healing dance 1,2, Ai chi, Liquid flow basic & watsu basic. It will be a good time in pondycherry. Interested people check class schedule in www.watsu.in . The rest have a great day
