A lot has changed since the last post. Life has been busy and focus had to be given to the changes that were happening. The ICEBAT conference was a great work done by our wonderful team who contributed from their heart. We had a great deal of people who came from different countries to India. It was an honor to organize such a big event for the first time in India. More information will come thru hopefully by this weekend.

A lot has evolved over the absence of updates. The biggest change has been the move to another country for a greater experience that can be brought back to India. I have become a full fledged Aquatic Therapist at Qatar Rehabilitation Institute of Hamad Medical Corporation at Doha, Qatar. A decision taken after so much dilemmas. The experience has been great so far, the management has been supportive and am able to bring out the ideas of an aquatic therapy facility into reality. More on this facility will be shared soon with pictures !!

Students will be missed from my previous job, as they were always a constant source of energy with their young mind, new ideas, opinions, style and their small revolutions. Teaching continues only in the workshops, so that will be another big miss in my present situation. Nevertheless learning has never stopped. There are always new information to learn and old information to be strengthened.

Pressure is off, and time has arrived to be back. I should be able to post more frequently now.

Until then

Adios Amigos.

This year is a fantastic year for Aquatic therapy in India. After almost a decade of consistent and sustained work, we are able to take the next step. It is an exciting moment for me to be the organizing chair for the 4th International Conference on Evidence Based Aquatic Therapy and for the first one for India. The website for the conference has been launched in 2016 and the registrations have started. The focus is to promote the aquatic professionals to gather at one platform and do an exchange of expertise in their line of work. The keynote speakers are from different parts of the globe.

MY POOL

One year has been a great challenge, it took some hard work, persistence, many best wishes and help from wonderful souls to make a dream come true. Yes Now I have my own pool which is heated. The first step into it on a beautiful morning almost a year back will always be etched in my memory, the tears flowing down was very natural and I could understand value of every one drop. My life has started flowing ... so many possibilities have opened up to reach out to so many individuals and professionals...

It is an indoor pool with plenty of windows for light and cross ventilation. I have done what best possibly could be done given the resources. It could always be better and an attempt will be continuously made to make it the best.

This will be one stop for all aquatic therapy related queries in India. This will also be the office of ATNI.

The Pool will be a Research Center, Therapy Center and also an Education Center. It appears the path is charted and many more steps to climb. There are many ideas on the cards and will be executed systematically.

It has been a very long time indeed that something was posted. So many wonderful turn of events. Updates will come along. I believe, if you are honest in your intentions and are willing to do all it takes to make things happen,  they are bound to happen.  Until the right time comes along everything will be on hold and at the right time all the details play right.  Have a great day

The Later half of the year of 2015 was hectic and busy, Was occupied in construction of our therapeutic pool, it was an exciting process and did take away a lot time and create plenty of stress, but at the end of the day it was all worth it. I share some of the pictures of the pool. This was already done in other social media, but missed uploading in the blog. It is indeed a stressful but enjoyable process of having our own pool. YESSS now I have my own pool to do all the work related with water and I have started seeing patients in them and some success stories are already out.

The second half of the year is going good for Aquatic Therapy. The first Basic Aquatic workshop got over in Latur, a small but important town of Maharashtra. We did one parental orientation program at Bangalore to enable parents to handle their children in water. This was received very well among all the parents. we will be hosting another program by this month end again. The second Basic Aquatic Therapy Workshop is happening from tomorrow(8/10/15) at Pune. Hope to hold the last program at my own pool. It will be a big task though. The deadline is this month end. Also hope to come out with the first draft of  standards and guidelines for India by this month end. Lot of Work n little time. One more parental orientation will be getting organised by November at Mumbai. Keeping fingers crossed and praying all things will fall in place. The next six months are crucial months for Aquatic Therapy.
